Hi, I’m Dianna!

I’m a professional painter based in Waterloo, ON. I studied Honours Fine Arts at the University of Waterloo. I’ve been painting or drawing for as long as I can remember, and I’ve always had a fascination with portraiture and the human figure. When learning how to paint, I solely used acrylic. I quickly fell in love with oils once I started university.

A few other facts about me:

• My two other biggest passions are travelling as much as financially possible and cooking (an antipasto station hates to see me coming). Also a big fan of a spicy marg!

• I’m the youngest of 3 girls in my family

• I’m proudly engaged to my fiancé, Cameron. We met working as baristas in 2019 and are getting married in 2026. We share 3 pets - our cats, Louie and Paloma, and our dog, Rhubarb.

So, why a Live Wedding Painter?

Whenever I thought about my dream career, I wanted to contribute to society and do what I love (which is paint). I always thought that I was a bit of a hopeless romantic, so this job perfectly combines the two. The best part of my night is the couple seeing their painting for the first time. To be able to create something so special is a privilege. The art industry can be brutal, so I’m extremely grateful to share my passion and hopefully inspire other artists.

I like to label my artistic style as “expressive realism”. Depicting your likeness and your emotion is what makes your painting so captivating. With this, I prioritize adding an organic and painterly approach to each piece. I hope that each time you view your painting, a different brushstroke captures your eye, and sparks reflection upon your wedding day.
