Paintings come on a gallery quality stretched cotton canvas. I use Golden artist acrylic paint at the wedding which acts as the first layer. During touchups, I use Gamblin oil paints. This acts as a second layer which will be more blended and create more vibrant colour.
Both of these paints are archival and museum quality, so your painting is built to last! I also use a clear varnish of Gamvar to protect the painting over time.

Always! I am based in Waterloo, ON. I only ask that if the venue is over 80km away, that the travel costs are covered by the client.
Locations outside of the province of Ontario are subject to a flat fee that is dependent on the region. This fee includes hotels, miles, gas and/or flights. These costs are thoroughly researched and based on the average of that region.

To start the project, I need a confirmed date and venue location. To be officially booked, I require a 20% non-refundable deposit and a signed contract. If you’d like we can also sort out a payment plan for the remaining 80%.

Each acrylic painting needs at least 15 hours total (around 6 at the wedding). This does require me to arrive at the location early to set up. I will start painting before your event, work through dinner service, and into the evening. After your wedding, I will take the painting back to my studio, where it will get final touchups. Having a fresh set of eyes is important in the touch-up process. I will always make sure that your artwork is perfect before you receive it!

The timeframe for touchups really depends on where we are in the wedding season. In general, I say 3-10 weeks. If your wedding falls between November - April, you can expect 3-6 weeks. If your wedding falls between May - October, you can expect 4-10 weeks.

Nope! I’m covered. However, I do need access to an outlet to plug in my lighting. If I am painting outside for a portion of the wedding, a shady area would be needed.

Each painting is created on a canvas that is ready to be hung as soon as you get home. Due to the amount of variables, I will leave it up to you to frame it however you like.

Absolutely! However, I can only move once. Moving locations can take up to 30 minutes depending on the venue, and I need as much time as possible to paint! I usually start at the ceremony and move directly to reception. If I’m not painting a ceremony moment, I can start in the cocktail hour location and move to reception after.
